About Us

The Calgary Pickleball Club (CPC) was formed in 2012 to introduce, promote and develop the sport of Pickleball and within 10 years  membership reached 2400 people. Alberta has the highest number of registered pickleball players in the country with 23 clubs. In Canada, it is estimated there are over one million households playing pickleball. The growth curve has led to an effort by Pickleball Canada to become a National Sport Organization and recognized by Sport Canada.

Our History

Pickleball is a Life Sport

It is accessible and available for all ages in both recreational and competitive organized play. The CPC aims to increase the number of Calgarians involved in pickleball in order to maintain an active lifestyle, build healthy relationships, positive sports attitudes and reduce health risks.

With a membership exceeding 1,486, CPC ranks among the largest pickleball clubs in Canada. Our mission is to foster fun, fair play, and mental well-being in a safe and inclusive environment. Through events, tournaments, and fundraisers, we aim to support mental health initiatives and agencies that share our belief: “Strong, Healthy Relationships and Lifestyles Build Strong, Healthy Communities.”
