About Us
The Calgary Pickleball Club (CPC), founded in 2012, has grown into one of Canada’s largest pickleball communities with over 1,500 members. Our mission is to foster a vibrant, inclusive environment where players of all ages and abilities can experience the fun, health benefits, and camaraderie that pickleball offers. As a volunteer-driven organization, CPC brings together a dedicated team of coaches, event organizers, and volunteers who are passionate about promoting the sport. Through our diverse programming—including lessons, clinics, tournaments, and social events—we strive to make pickleball accessible and enjoyable for everyone. Our commitment to fair play, safety, and community building is evident in our programs, partnerships, and initiatives, which support mental health and physical well-being. With a growing membership that spans all age groups, CPC continues to champion pickleball as a sport for life, enhancing community health and connection across Calgary.
Our History
The Calgary Pickleball Club (CPC) was formed in 2012 to introduce, promote and develop the sport of Pickleball in Calgary and within 10 years membership reached 2400 people. Alberta has the highest number of registered pickleball players in the country with 23 clubs. In Canada, it is estimated there are over one million households playing pickleball. The growth curve has led to an effort by Pickleball Canada to become a National Sport Organization and recognized by Sport Canada.
